What is RealFlight G2?




RealFlight G2 is a flight simulator software that was developed by Knife Edge Software and distributed by Great Planes Model Distributors. It was released in 2000 and was the second generation of the RealFlight series. RealFlight G2 allows you to fly various models of aircrafts, such as airplanes, helicopters, gliders, jets, and more, in different environments, such as fields, mountains, islands, and cities. You can also customize your aircrafts and environments, create your own scenarios, and challenge yourself with various modes and events. RealFlight G2 also supports multiplayer mode, where you can fly with or against other users online or on a local network.


RealFlight G2 is compatible with Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP/Vista/7 and requires a Pentium II 300 MHz processor or higher, 64 MB of RAM or higher, a DirectX 8 compatible video card with 8 MB of VRAM or higher, a DirectX 8 compatible sound card, a CD-ROM drive, and a mouse. RealFlight G2 also requires an InterLink controller or a compatible joystick to control the aircrafts. The InterLink controller is a USB device that resembles a radio transmitter and has two joysticks, three switches, and a reset button. The InterLink controller also allows you to use your own radio transmitter as a controller by plugging it into the InterLink's trainer port.
